International Fuelcellbus Collaborative


CTE is working with multiple partners to develop and demonstrate Proterra’s next generation 35’ fuel cell hybrid bus featuring Hydrogenics HD30 fuel cells.  The bus will begin operations in 2014 at Capital Metro in Austin, TX followed by a year at District Department of Transportation (DC Circulator) . The bus technology, originally developed as part of the NFCBP, has already achieved great success and proven results.

Demonstration Status

The Proterra hydrogen fuel cell bus is planned to be delivered in December 2014 and beginning service as a student shuttle at the University of Texas in January 2015.
