Two articulated APTS buses arrived in Cologne in Spring 2011 to begin regular service that fall. This project is possible through a German-Dutch partnership with two sister APTS fuel cell buses operating in Amsterdam during the same period. The project is a CHIC:Phase 0 partner and will share operational data as part of the effort.
RVK also began operating two Van Hool buses alongside the APTS buses in April 2014.
