CHIC Phase 1: Aargau, Switzerland

As a CHIC Phase 1 city, Aargau, Switzerland deployed the first of 5 Citaro FuelCELL Hybrid buses in December 2011.  Currently 5 buses are in operation until 2016.  As part of this project, a hydrogen station was constructed at the Postbus fuel cell bus garage.  The hydrogen is generated via electrolysis from renewable energy.

H2 Fueling Infrastructure

A hydrogen station is set to open at the Postbus garage spring 2012.  The hydrogen will be generated by a Hydrogenics HySTAT 60 electrolyser from renewable energy.
